Pupil Premium

What is Pupil Premium Funding?
Pupil Premium is additional funding given to publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils to try to ensure they attain as well as and make as much progress as their peers.

How the funding is allocated?
It is paid to schools according to the number of pupils who have been: registered as eligible for free school meals at any point in the past six years or been in care for six months or longer, and is allocated to those from families with parents in the Armed Forces.

You can view or download our Pupil  Premium allocation and find out how this has been used at our school.

The next review of our pupil premium strategy will take place at the end of the current academic year.

Catch-up Premium

The DfE has allocated £650 million to be spent on ensuring all pupils have the chance to catch up and supporting schools to enable them to do so.   Whilst headteachers will decide how the money is spent, the Education Endowment Foundation has published guidance on effective interventions to support schools.

Sports Premium

The Government is providing funding of £150 million per annum for academic years 2013/14 and 2014/15 to provide new, substantial primary school sport funding. This funding is being jointly provided by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport, and will see money going directly to primary school headteachers to spend on improving the quality of sport and PE for all their children.

The sport funding can only be spent on sport and PE provision in schools.

You can view or download our Sports Premium allocation and find out how this has been used at our school.
